There is a bug at the moment which means that if you dual wield hand crossbows, it applies your Dex ability modifier to the damage of both hand crossbows i.e. including the off-hand crossbow, even without the Two Weapon Fighting style, which it really shouldn't. I hope this gets fixed at some point. Well if you do this with the Thief subclass, and attack with dual hand-crossbows, your character will end up attacking 3 times. Probably something to do with the Thief's extra bonus action because this same interaction didn't work on any other character. Except that bonus action doesn't get consumed.
